This list feels like a no-brainer to me, but you’ll be surprised how many people don’t do some or all of them:
Trying new things is fun! A change from the norm, a break from routine, a chance to find out more about yourself. This has been my approach to sustainability and it’s helped me make better choices without piling on the pressure or feeling too overwhelmed. We have to make choices every day – what to wear, what to eat, what to watch. The trick with being more sustainable is introducing new choices that eventually become part of your subconscious. Like diets, nobody sticks to the cabbage soup diet, it has to work long term. It’s all about what you can do and what works for you. It’s also really important to remember you can’t do everything and you will have bad days, just write them off and try again tomorrow. The trick is to start small and see how you get on. “What shall we eat tonight? The same meat based dinner AGAIN or shall we try this simple veggie recipe for a change?” (better for your health, wallet, animals and the planet)
Thanks for reading and I hope you’ve found this helpful. I’d love to hear what different choices you’ve been making and I’m always happy to help if I can. Be part of the @Sustainable_Squad and find me on social
